2. General Rental Conditions
CROCODILE STATION RENT-A-CAR LTD. , through this document rents the customer that signed the vehicle described in the terms and conditions of this document by virtue of which the customer becomes aware and agrees. /Strong> and respective drivers present in this contract and will not be used:
- In the event of total or partial loss or destruction of the vehicle documentation by the Customer, the Customer may be required to compensate the rental company for any resulting damages, in particular for the costs arising from issuing second copies of the documentation and administrative costs incurred by the Rental Company.
– Refueling with the wrong fuel: Up to R$ 550.00
– Loss of documents or fuel card: R$ 140.00 / each
– Loss or damage of electric cables: R$ 800.00 each cable.
– Total discharge of the electric vehicle – R$ 450.00 €
2.8) The rental ends on the day and time fixed by the renter. If you wish to extend the rental period, the renter must go to Crocodile Station Rent-a-Car Ltda. (AKI Rent ) nearest to update your rental agreement 24 hours before it ends. In the absence of such consent, the vehicle will be considered to be in circulation without authorization and against the will of its owner, and this act will be punishable by law and the driver will be responsible, with a non-compliance fee of €180.00 being applied, plus the daily rental and insurance costs.2.9) Should the customer breach the Rental Agreement, Crocodile Station Rent-a-Car Lda. may immediately terminate the agreement without prior notice and recover the vehicle from any of its facilities or locations, with the CUSTOMER being liable and having to compensate Crocodile Station Rent-a-Car Ltd..against all actions, claims, costs and damages consequential or recurring from such recovery and withdrawal.2.10) The estimated rental cost must be paid at the beginning of the rental, based on the daily rate cost. A refundable deposit equal to the insurance excess must also be left to cover any damages.2.11) The customer also agrees to protect the interests of the renter and the rental insurance company in the event of an accident during the rental period in the following manner:- Obtaining the names and addresses of the people involved and witnesses;
- Not declaring himself responsible or at fault;
- Not abandoning the vehicle without taking appropriate measures to protect and safeguard it; < li>Notifying the police immediately;
2.12) In the event of an accident, loss, damage or theft, the incident must be immediately reported to the competent police authorities and to Crocodile Station Rent-a-Car Ltda. (AKI Rent) within the next 24 hours. The tenant undertakes to complete the accident report with as much information as possible, otherwise the CDW and SCDW insurance options will be considered null and void. Even if the customer has accepted CDW or SCDW coverage, in the event of an accident the customer will always have to pay a deductible of R$1,600.00. The lessee undertakes to cooperate with Corcodile Station Rent-a-Car Ltda. (AKI Rent ) and its insurers in any subsequent investigation or legal proceedings.
2.13) Any edits or changes to the terms and conditions of this document will be void unless agreed in writing.2.14) The lease agreement is made under and governed by the laws of the Country in which it is signed. Both parties hereby agree that the resolution of any dispute arising from this contract will be the competent Court of the District of Funchal, unless it involves serious inconveniences for one of the parties, without the interests of the other justifying it.2.15) Crocodile Station Rent-a-Car Lda.. {AKI RENT}, is not responsible for accidents that are not reported to the police. CDW and SCDW do not cover damage caused to tires/rims, windows and locks, mechanics, as well as accidents caused by speeding, and/or damage caused under the influence of alcohol or drugs and misuse of the vehicle. These coverages also do not include damage caused by natural phenomena, theft, fires and acts of vandalism, and do not prevent the customer from paying for damage caused to the upper and lower parts of the vehicle, provided there is no collision.- Additional Information – Whenever there is a violation of the rules for using the vehicle, negligent conduct, non-compliance with the Highway Code and situations in which the driver is not named in this contract, the limitations of liability will not apply.In the event of an accident due to speeding, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or negligence, the SCDW insurance will be void, and the Customer will pay the Rental Company the full cost of repairs, towing the vehicle to the station of origin or repair shop, as well as compensation corresponding to the time the vehicle was out of action.
2.16) The Renter consents to the storage and processing by Crocodile Station Rent-a-Car Lda. {AKI RENT} of your personal data contained in this rental agreement, and also in the communication of said data within group companies, for the same collection purposes, including statistical analyses, marketing of Crocodile Station Rent-a-Car Lda services. (AKI Rent) and credit control. In the event of a breach of this contract by the lessee, his/her personal data may be disclosed or communicated to third parties to the extent necessary to recover losses inherent in the default.
2.17) Crocodile Station Rent-a-Car Ltda. {AKI RENT} is not responsible to the renter or any passenger for the loss or material damage caused to personal property transported or left in the vehicle, either during the rental period or after it.2.18) The Renter must return the vehicle with the same level of fuel, if it is lower, a fee of €25.00 will be charged for each 1/4 tank of fuel missing.2.19) Premature return of the vehicle will not incur a refund of the amount paid for the rental.
